Sulpher Brothers

Here's a commission from my roommate T.J.; a portrait of him and his brother Jordan that he wanted to give to various family members as presents. I don't have pictures of this up in a frame, but it looked pretty damn good. :) And everyone in T.J.'s family loved it. As did he. :) Happy with how some of this came out.

hey's...

It's startin' to get to me a bit. Whoever is anonymously leaving messages and being an asshole needs to stop. I'll keep deleting them 'cause frankly, I don't need that here.

So stop, please. At least have the marbles to use your fucking name.

Aie..

EDIT: As blogger.com doesn't show IP addresses (i've searched how to do it multiple times), I've installed that flag counter at the side. I apparently need an outside source to track any visitations to my blog-- so on top of collecting cool little flags, It'll now give me some IP addresses if I go visit the details. if you post again, I'll be able to narrow down who it is, now.

Kathleen's Walk

This was a commission done for my friend Kathleen! She wanted a drawing of her on a walk with her dog Beanie, and her cat Peanut. :) Peanut recently passed away as I was painting this, so I hope to do something a little more proper for Kathleen when I get a chance. Of Peanut, I mean. :)

I think I need to get a handle or incorporate my style somehow into my backgrounds. They don't seem to match with my characters. To me, anyway. But this was fun to do. :)

Jelly Investments

Not even sure what she is. Lawyer? Stock Broker? Bank.. associate?

I may take another picture of this at some point, or try and rescan it. not sure I like how this came out just yet. Had to do some adjustments in photoshop to get it right.

Also may tidy up the background more, but.. if I mess with it anymore right now, I'll kill it.

Aquatic Savant

My newest print now available. Did this picture in between a large amount of commissions I have to work through. It's good to draw for yourself once in a while. :)

Coloured pencil on craft paper, with a texture thrown overtop in Photoshop!

TJ's Tattoo Commission!

Here's a tattoo commission I did for my roommate, T.J. :D This is a large piece that's going on his chest. I was quite happy he asked me to do this too, so so fun. Obviously though, the tattoo artist has to take a few liberties, but they'll make it all the better!

Opening commissions soon again, speaking of which. One everything on this list is done! Finally catching up on that massive thing. Eesh!

Lily-Monster!

An image that I drew for Lily! She's using it for her webpage and .. well whatever she wants! :) There's some things I wish I could of improved on, but I think it came out alright :D

But! Gunna try my hardest.

Sketches

Some character head sketches I did while bored at work!
I had to cover for my mother at our parents restaurant while she was in Toronto; my sister just had a son! So... .. yeah :)

These are all characters of mine I'm trying to slowly revamp! The first set is a bunch of elf characters I have (all female, surprise). And then the bottom are this... large mercenary group/nation called the Kaare. It has a main group, but a few others have been welcomed into this nation.

And then Cammy from Street Fighter.

... does that make sense? Not sure. :)

But these are just so I can do their full body pics. need to update these guys badly.

Amanda

Here's another painting I did of Amanda. She's a great subject to paint. And such a wonderful girl. It'll be fun to see her again.

Added a texture on top. Will update soon about Amanda and I's Chicago trip, with some neat photos and drawings. :)

Ironclad 2012 Calender Submission

My submission for the 2012 Ironclad Calender here in Kingston, where local artist's get a chance to have their work displayed together in a calender! I was lucky enough to get May (December being my first :) ) and well, here's my illustration. I took out the days and numbers in this one.

I spent a week doing those clouds. Looking at tutorials, examples, mimicing, doing, learning as much as I could. Eesh.. But this is one of my best pieces to date :) And I'm quite happy with it to be honest.

Pictures! .. yeah I know, lame...

I couldn't come up with a better title :)

First there's a commission I did for my friend Tyne. I wanted to try something different with the background, more of a cutout style... kinda successful.. but I'm quite happy with this I like how Tyne turned out! And best of all, she loved it! I will have the one of her son Jaymes up soon.

next I did a Wedding Tree for my friend Kirby and Meaghan for Meaghan's sister. basically, this is their guestbook; people sign it by using their finger prints in autumn leaf colours, pressing them down as leaves, and write a little signatue and message if they want :) neat idea. Not mine, but this was so fun to do!

And then some backgrounds I'm working on for the iPod touch/iPhone game I'm working on at work! Phew! This will be out soon, so be sure to check the Apple Store when it's available. I'll throw a link up!

"Goodbye, Butterfly"

No significance, just an idea I thought up of. A simpler image is on my website, http://www.itsdeadly.com, but I decided to go on ahead and finish it. :) Was pretty fun to do. I'll tell yah one thing, window cracks are a bitch.

Stick speed painting + Sketches!

I limited myself to an hour when I did this, but it came to around 45-46 mins... trying to see how quick and accurately I can do this :) but I think I can simplify my shading and maybe make a few new brushes to help me out...

And some life drawings based off of some of her photos. I need to practice now that I can't get to life drawing, and she's a wonderful subject for it ;)

I'll put up other life drawing sketches in a collection in an upcoming post!

go visit this beautiful girls website! See what she has to offer!

Ophelia

A redesign of an old character of mine named Ophelia. Succubus, think she was my first homage to Darkstalkers. :D but yeah! I'm trying to work out a few comic sequential pages with her and her fighting style. it's a bit peculiar, but! it'd be way, way fun to show in sequence the shit she can do :)

I'll probably end up colouring this and fixing mistakes as I do!

Hipster Girls with Horns

Old characters of mine, Satana and Rosalyn. Satana's got blue hair in this one for some reason... and Rosalyn's one of my homage's to Darkstalkers. :) I loved that game as a teenager. Monsters fighting monsters? suuuuure!

I did these inbetween commission work to keep myself going. I started a new job developing artwork and animation for some ipod games, and so far it's been fun as hell. :) I finally get paid by the hour to do what I love, AND i get to have a lot of freedom with it!

Good summer. :)

Soon I'll have prints up here for sale, in a nice organized list. I'll also add commission prices here... also...

http://www.itsdeadly.com <-- will be up soon. don't go just yet, because my 'coming soon' pic isn't done!

Commissions!

Here are a few commissions I worked on :) I don't get to put many of them up, but the ones I get permission for or that I really, really enjoyed, I throw them on here. :)

I did a humming bird for an ex-cooworker friend of mine named Carloyn! I tried to change the colours around a bit for her so she had more to choose from.

And the second is a business card my friend Lin commissioned from me! this one I highly enjoyed doing. When I get to work in my style on a commission, it's amazing. :D

Thinking in Blue

because sometimes when I'm alone, my mind drifts to times that make me smile.

And old drawing from last year that I tried my best to fix and ink/colour digitally.. , but I like the roughness of the inking and the colours I used. Kinda different than my usual stuff, I guess?

print of this available soon!

Vanilla7 Stick

I had the pleasure to get in contact with this lady! She does modeling work, makes clothing and costumes (as well as accessories)and just so happened to love my artwork! She's a great girl to talk to! So I did this for her as thank-you/commission/art trade/gift (phew). And it was completely my pleasure, she's been motivating me, art wise.

She wanted herself drawn as a cat!

So I kind of took the Darkstalkers approach... I looked up reference pictures of Felicia while doing this. So I guess.. she's a were-cat? i dunno what to classify her as! Either way, I'm happy with how this came out and she's very happy with how this came out as well. :)

Go visit her site and maybe hire her for some shoots! Or buy her items!

Tattoo-- 'Hope'

This was for my hip, but it may be too intricate/big for it.... my friend Cynthia is popping over tomorrow to tattoo a couple of people, including myself and my roommate! but i think... i have a smaller idea than this one. this just MIGHT be too huge... oh well. :P

I really like how this came out, however. Fun times between commissions! Argh, my fingers hurt.

Update: GOT THE TATTOO. :D

Not exactly the right colours, but I like how it came out. :D

Kassandra

Forgot to put this up.... this is a portrait I did of one of my beautiful co-workers. I've tweaked it since I've given it to her, part of the reason why it's not up here... 'cause I'm -finally- satisfied with it, haha.

But yeah! I love doing these portraits. And such a great person to paint.

Super Aidan

A painting of Mae's son, Aidan that I painted for her! She asked me to dress 'em up like a super hero, so.. hey, here he is? I really like how I did the cape. But it was -really- tough to make up my own lighting using the photo I had.

I used a grid system to get things started and keep everything proportional and correct, then took it away and painted!

Hope she likes it. :)

Samara Character Sketches

The main character of my story at the age of 9-11, Samara. She's half demon, half angel, and the most powerful being in my story. I'm just warming up to my style again... I've done nothing but commission work the last three months, most of which I can't share as of yet (or ever, possibly) so I had to get my style back somehow.

So! Some random sketches of my character Samara with her new life long friend, a pig. I haven't named it yet... but it's pretty much a pig but with horns and wings. it acts like a pig that can fly, basically, and is kept immortal (unknowingly) by Samara. She cares a lot for it and it remains a constant companion.

hooray for sketches! Some little errors, and the first sketch is a little smaller than the other two, but meh!

Samara © Gus Kosmopoulos 2011. please do not copy or redistribute without permission, sanks! I love my little demon/angel girl.

The Llama and the Sloth

My roommate T.J. asked me to do a commission of his girlfriends favourite animal, the Llama. And then to add his favourite animal, a Sloth. So! ... here's a Llama and a Sloth? Sorry for the somewhat shitty quality. i took a photo of it and gave it to his girlfriend before I could get a better scan or SOMETHING of it. but this was fun to do :)
